Jesus is Lord

Jesus is not a boss
He is not a lawyer
He is not an ATM machine
He is not a drive-thru
He is not a one night fling

Jesus is Lord
He wants all of you so He can give you all of Himself
He wants all your striving so He can show you what He can do through you
He wants nothing less than the very top priorities of your thoughts, your heart and being so He can blow you away with what your destiny is in store beyond your wildest imagination
He wants you...and He will multiply Himself through you to show His magnificence to you and through you to so many others... touching other people's lives like the sun's rays not just hitting one singular point but everything in sight

He doesn't want you part-time,
half-time or serving time,
but He wants to be Lord in your life ALL the time

Jesus is Lord, but he is not cruel
Jesus is Lord, but his intentions are not to oppress
Jesus is Lord, but he displays his Lordship as a servant, laying his very life for yours
and he asks you to do the same
Lay down your life to Jesus everyday, every moment and see what things the King of the universe can do beyond what you can do in any circumstance

Jesus, himself, subjected to God and God raised Jesus above every name
The church is subject to Jesus, and he lifts the church to be coheirs with him, empowers her to release freedom into the world, appoints her as his bride
