Our relationship with Him

1) Cares of this world (stress) - anxious awareness

• love is an emotional commodity; it gets worn out from stress, anger, etc...
• protect your emotional reservoir of your energy
• #1 blessing in your life is giving God the first of everything: heart, soul, mind, strength...Seek first His kingdom & righteousness and all these things will come to you as well
• When you give all your love away and Jesus is standing there... you don't want to worship,  you don't want to go to church...etc.
• We need to practice restraint, not wearing yourself out to be a "super-person" like advertised in magazines & media
• Teach your kids restraint and not to burn them out early as "super kids"
• robs the joy of the enjoyment of the marriage 

"The difference of diligence and driven-ness is diligence can do it's best and then stop and enjoy itself, but driven-ness can't stop."


2) Deceitfulness of Riches

• Believing money will solve ALL your problems... it just doesn't
• Things are fleeting, but relationship remains
• When God blesses you, it will not cost you...
  less with God's blessing is better than more w/o God
• Don't sell your soul or family for it

Proverbs 10:22 (wealth without sorrow)
"The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it."


3) The desire for other things

• You want it all
• Keep the main thing, the main thing... focus on God and family and know that you can't have it all
• The most important things for your kids is God and you...
• In the end, relationship brings happiness
