Going back in Time
Found these thoughts in this entry in my journal:

Identity
Jesus didn't consider equality to be something to be grasped...
but humbled himself on a cross...
God's very nature is to give out of love + "joyfully"
Because Jesus humbled himself, that is His nature and identity.
He did not lose it when he stepped down to earth.
At the same time, His identity is not defined only in the form of humility in itself, but love which gives, corrects, guides & even rebukes.
***
God created us in His image to give & love as He has loved. What He looks like, He has created us in similar fashion and our fruit should exemplify that.
Through Christ we share in so much more than being created creations of God. We gain an inheritance in that Christ, himself, shares with us a friendship with God that delves into the secret places in Him. Authority given back to man over reign of the world & even spiritual realms because of Jesus in us.

Last night when I was worshiping, I couldn't help but shrink back a little because I was taken by the holiness and awe in worship and God's presence. I felt so "little" compared to God.
*
comparison --> something Holy Spirit is working on me
and that's when I heard,
"You aren't less because I'm God. You are more because I'm God."
I was blown away. My identity in God is greater as I run toward Him. Every step closer is of greater "worth" for a lack of a better word...maybe revelation, because it is one step closer to the source of all good things.
So even when I feel distant from God, or shamed, not worthy, etc...there is NO fear of condemnation in drawing near because He invited us to draw nearer, especially in those dark times when we want to run away.
re-paraphrased:
"You aren't more sinful because I am God. (As you draw nearer to me) You will be more pure because I am God."

48 House of Prayer
"I found my home. It's found in your heart/love." (part of a song)
Abode/Shelter - home
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
