Offense - a silent toxin

Beware of offense.
Unchecked offense will surely distort.
No matter how intellectual you may be, offense will start to curl, bend, melt and blur.
The distortion will allow anger to overcome, fuel and burn.
And just because you may know facts, it doesn't mean you know the truth.
Just because you know facts, it doesn't mean you have a clear perspective.

Unchecked, soon enough you will start to act in a way you never thought you would.
Unchecked, you will find your days darken and thoughts uncontrolled.
Unchecked, you will find yourself wanting hurt and suffering to transfer to the accused.
Unchecked, you will find yourself to be the person you never thought you would become.

But even so, you do not recognize the havoc that comes as a result.
It disguises itself as "good." It disguises itself as "justice."
It disguises itself as a false power that uses control as a weapon.
You become the offender, even though you may think you are a savior.
You become the controller, even though you may think you are a victim.

Offense is a silent toxin. It is intoxicating, and that is how it keeps its place.
Intoxicating while toxicating the sound mind and will of bringing correct resolution, correct restoration, correct reconciliation...true justice.

But all is not lost.
There is hope.

There is Jesus.

Who is the way, the truth and the life.
There is a real justice. There is a real judgement.
Surrendered to the truth that Jesus paid for punishment of every kind.
Truth that God does have a way greater than man's darkest hour or greatest fault.
Truth that God is good, all the time and that He cares.
Truth that we can see clearly, hear clearly, bring clarity in a situation.
Truth that we don't need to be subject to the fear of calamity, but the bring about peace, healing, love and transformation in the name of Jesus.
Truth to manifest a life that love casts out all fear and that God is for us and not against us.
To pray, "May your kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven. Your kingdom come. Your will be done."
To stand on God's side, see each person as how God sees Him - as we need to ask How He sees them...not assume that we know.

To dispell offense, it takes confession and humility...
To say, 'God, I don't know everything. I don't know the best answer... It may be a disastrous event, occurance, emotion, that I am standing in the middle of... and it may be extremely painful, and the walls look like they are closing in... but YOU.... YOU are greater. YOU God, can define in this moment. YOU can take control. I give the control to you Jesus. I'm sorry for feeding any of this emotional mess inside. Please forgive me and let's start over Jesus, in Jesus name, Amen.'

See what happens when you let go. Let go from your heart as well as your mind.
Let God's spirit fill you completely. Pushing out all the dark stains and pains. Driving dark thoughts out with His light and truth.
Watch the tension from your body to release and loosen. Watch and see how God will respond to you.
Ask Him to communicate with you and navigate you through your circumstances and see what happens!

Bless you with the truth, love, grace & peace of God on this journey. Jesus isn't one who wants to be on the sidelines, or afar. He wants to be fully by your side in every moment, every emotion and every space of your life. May the offenses in your life be brought low before Jesus and dispelled in Jesus name. May you find the brilliant and new solutions to your problems, relationships, workplace and every part of your life in Jesus. In Jesus name, Amen.
