Good Rains

I wrote a little song, but felt like it was something that was birthed fairly quickly.
It wasn't anything that I intended to write, but came out as I was fiddling around with a few chords.
It wasn't until about 2/3 into writing the lyrics that I understood what it meant.

This is a song about faith and great expectation of what God has in store.
There's so much more but I'll have you explore the interpretation.

Forgive the muffled parts of the sound

Good Rains

I’m here in the valley of dry bones.
What do I see?
Nothing but dust and tumbleweeds,
stomping around my feet

Nothing for miles, to the left and to the right
I’m thirsty
Not a single cloud in the sky
No water to refresh me
mmmmm

So what do I do?

I get down on my knees and pray
for the good rains to come.
There’s more than I can see
Oh heaven! Rain down your sweet, sweet love.

I see a cloud the size of a man’s hand
And I quickly get up on my feet
I know what’s to come

I grab my favorite jacket and I throw it on
And I start to run
run run run run
my legs keep going on

O the rains are going to come
I gotta run, I gotta run before they overcome

Watch out!
Before these lands start to flood

No more dry bones
No more dry bones
No more dry bones
No more dry bones

Sweet heaven,
O your good good rains
Sweet heaven, Sweet heaven

Your Good, good rains
O heaven rain down your sweet sweet love

Your Good, good reign
Sweet heaven, sweet heaven
Your Good, good reign
Sweet heaven, sweet heaven rain
Your Good, good reign
Sweet heave, sweet heaven
Come
